This tool allows us to set up a connection on your computer that the program then uses. It generally copes with even quite restrictive proxy and firewall arrangements without the need for you to make any changes to your environment. For each connection we set up, we use the client ID, which is unique to the computer, and a password, which changes for each program startup. When the program is not running and/or we don't have the current password, we have no access your computer.
